The Hassan tower is also worth the walk from the busy city center. It is actually the tower of an unfinished mosque that was commissioned by sultan Yacoub al-Mansour in 1195 AD. The tower stands 140 feet in height and has ramps instead of stairs. The ramp was designed to allow muezzin to ride a horse to the top of the tower for the call to prayer. The tower and the mosque remained unfinished to this day.
