Nuweiba Holidays :
Nuweiba is a town of a 7 kilometer short strip along the Aqaba coast of the Red Sea. Once a barren and isolated place, Nuweiba is now developing to be a bright
Cheap holidays destination. Just recently has it been discovered by a number of tourist investors who would want to establish more
hotels along this coast connecting Nuweiba to the resorts of
Taba in the north and
Dahab in the south.
Lately, the tourism around Nuweiba's area has been down. The Israelis made up the bulk of Nuweiba's tourist population but are no longer traveling as of the moment because of some internal conflict. This results for Nuweiba becoming a bonanza for other tourists and travelers seeking a laid-back, uncrowded beach for their
Cheap holidays Egypt. All kinds of vacation deals and special packages are abundant – a way for the local tourism industry to promote the area to the markets.
The whole town can be divided into several interesting sections. Up in the north, what's known as Nuweiba Tarabin, are thick groves of palm trees, a shallow bay and a pleasant site of Turkish fort ruins. The ruins have a well inside which is known to have served a fresh water source for the Bedouins for many centuries. It was not until the early 1980's when families settled around this area and first built the simplest accommodations. Soon you can expect a growth in the number of campsites and small hotels along its bay.
Tarabin is majorly known for its lively oriental ambience. Along the main streets are bazaars and restaurants which give a very colorful oriental market place impression. Along the beach you could also find the same lively restaurants complete with Bedouin furnishings which are really inviting and relaxing and a perfect place to pass time by. Nuweiba is a place with great potential. It just needs some little shoves and sparks to finally shine through.
