The town of Larnaca was once the ancient kingdom of Kition – an important sea port and a major trade center for copper, and then later a Phoenician fortified defensive structure. The sea front promenade, called Phinikoudes, is the perfect place for an afternoon break spent on one of the many restaurants and cafes among the line of palm trees.
