Main Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Tasks

  • Answering phone-calls & dealing with customers' queries
  • Booking extras (e.g.: transfers, insurance etc)
  • Dealing with Name & Hotel changes (and every other necessary amendment)
  • Use of TravelCAT

Secondary Tasks

  • Dealing with flight changes
  • Answering any pre-travel queries
  • Replying to customers' e-mails or faxes
  • Taking payment from customers for the add-ons or for their balance due

Specialist / Technical Knowledge, Skills, Aptitude
Essential

  • Excellent computer skills (Internet, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent research skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English language

Experience

Summary of Job Description
Working in a call-centre environment:

  • Selling directly over the phones
  • Receiving incoming calls & converting them into bookings
  • Booking Holidays online for UK customers only.
  • Confirming the bookings & loading them into the system
  • Learn how to use the online system efficiently and fast in order to search for flights & hotels at the time of the call
  • Being flexible on various working hours & shifts
  • Familiar with the British mentality

Tasks

  • Responsible for delivering customer service excellence so as to convert the enquiries into bookings.
  • Price up the offers. Make the costing and offer the best price to the customer.
  • Understanding customers' needs, sourcing and matching the appropriate product.
  • Meeting and exceeding individual sales targets, and support to achieve departmental targets.
  • Accomplishing the targets set will result in receiving higher bonuses.
  • Assisting service levels and lost call percentage by showing good timekeeping and attendance at all times, maintaining targeted log on and availability standards.
  • Handling all enquiries efficiently, quickly & cost-effectively.
  • Identifying and responding to opportunities to upsell, maximize the level of service and revenue opportunities for the department.
  • Working within agreed policies and procedures.
  • Attending meetings as required.
  • Cooperation with other departments as required to maintain service levels and operational standards high.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities

Essential Skills/Aptitudes

  • Excellent use of internet, MS Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Multi-tasking ability at the same time (Speak on the phone-Use of company's system & Internet-receive 2nd call-communicate with colleagues)
  • Fluent in the English language (UK)

Work Experience-Desired

  • 2 years experience in travel and/or in a sales position would be preferable but not necessary as full training will be given
  • English native speakers will be preferred
