Golf Del Sur holidays:
As the name would imply, Golf Del Sur is located on the southern section of Tenerife. Also as the name implies, it is a golfer’s paradise, with a championship golf course that has hosted a number of tournaments. Situated in the municipal district of San Miguel de Abona on the south east coast of Tenerife, the Golf Del Sur is considered to be part of the “boring” half of the island. Due to the location, it is thought to be better suited for a more “mature” visitor, however, Gofl Del Sur is sure to have something for everyone, no matter what your “maturity” level!

In 1989, 1992 and 1994, Golf Del Sur hosted the prestigious Open of Tenerife of the PGA European Volvo Tour. In addition, in 1995 it held the Shell Wonderful World of Golf Tournament. In 2002, it made history when it hosted the inaugural Tenerife Ladie’s Open, part of the LPGA European Evian Tour.

Though you may come for its excellent golf courses, please stay for enjoying the picturesque little resort area so you may unwind and leave behind the tension of everyday life. In planning the grounds of the resort, nothing was left to chance, and at the top is a garden center displaying some of the most beautiful plants, flowers, trees and shrubs found anywhere. Visiting the affiliated marina will both amaze and delight with its beauty and calming influences. Tucked away in a corner of the Golf, the marina comes with a promenade ripe for an evening stroll perhaps to walk away the calories consumed at one of the many splendid sea front restaurants standing proud alongside the promenade. One restaurant, mentioned time and again as “the” place to dine, is the Teppanayaki, famous for its seafood, sushi and a hibachi grill where the chef will have you wondering if the knives he juggles are heading towards you!
