Holidays in Ericeira: Lying approximately 30 KM northeast of Lisbon, Ericeira is a fishing village on the Atlantic Ocean, affording visitor's breathtaking ocean views, magnificent sunsets and cheap holidays when planning a trip to Portugal. Ereceira's name, derived from Ouriceira, is a derivative of the Portuguese word for "sea urchin", Ouriço. Culture is also prominent in the city where the Casa da Cultura Jaime Lobo e Silva is located. Within the confines of the Casa da Cultura are a library, art gallery and auditorium. Given the building is named after a local band conductor and historian, who passed away in 1943, the auditorium is used on a regular basis for classical music performances by some of the world's most renown musicians; the entrance fee is a low 3 Euros.
