Natural marvels
There are many natural wonders in Ibiza that is waiting for tourists like the caves of Can Marça in the northwestern part of the island of Puerto San Miguel. The cave is more than 100,000 years old and sits 12 meters above sea level. There are many formations inside the caves like cascading waters that is soothing to one’s senses. There are also some fossils visible inside the caves.

Aside from the cave, another famous landmark in Ibiza that no one should miss is its “Salt Flats” in Las Salinas in the southern part of the island. This place has been traditionally the main source of its salt industry and now it also serves as a tourist spot. The best time to come here is during the height of summer when sea water evaporates revealing fine white crystals of salt.

A touch of History
Ibiza is an island full and rich in history with some of structures that still stands today remind of its glorious past from its old churches, walls and fortresses. Historical places in Ibiza are great for afternoon walking after a long night of partying in its famous clubs. Never miss to pay a visit to the old town called the D’Alt Villa which is located right in the center of the capital town. This old town is a medieval district with whitewashed house, cobblestone streets and other buildings of Gothic architecture. Enjoy all these by staying in one of the area’s hotels. Lastly, check out watchtowers in the island that were used against the raiding pirates in the past. Same goes to the Monumentos a los Corsario Statue which is a tribute to pirates of antiquity.
