Getting to Egypt:

There are many ways and means to get to Egypt for your Cheap holidays – the country has many entry ports whether by air, land or water. Each has their own advantages and disadvantages, and it all basically depends as to where you will be coming from.

The most commonly used way to finally arrive at your Cheap holidays Egypt is by air. Egypt has a number of international airports servicing many airline companies from all over the world. Flight tickets range in different prices depending on when and where you were able to book them, but this does not necessarily mean they are very difficult to find. Cheaper deals and better prices could be harder to obtain though, but nevertheless still possible and very much attainable.

Getting to Egypt by land is possible as well. Though most borders around are open, each has their own restrictions. Coming in from Israel are only public transportation vehicles via Rafah on the northern part of Sinai or from Eilat by the Red Sea area. There are regular bus trips from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem to the borders, where passengers disembark, go through customs, and take another bus or a taxi cab to their destination in Egypt. Coming in from Sudan are ferries which transport cars and entering from the port in Aswan. These, however, are only available twice in a week.

Private vehicles are not allowed to enter easily. Drivers and/or owners must have a triptyque or the carnet de passage en douane from an automobile club in their country, or pay customs duty which can cost as much as 250%. Also, all persons aboard the vehicle must possess a valid passport and the driver must have an International Driver's License.

Coming in from the waters can very well happen too. There are a number of ports around Egypt which serves as points of entry for tourists and travelers. However, in the recent years, the number of sailings has reduced. It is recommended to check available trips with travel agents and water transportation operators.
